Funerals

Our Sydney-Based Bagpipers Can Farewell Your Loved Ones With Dignity at their Funeral

Giving your loved one the best farewell possible is one of the hardest things we will ever have to do. As professional full-time musicians, we ensure that the stress is taken out of the musical aspect of the funeral for a special farewell.

Our funeral call out fee for the Sydney metropolitan area Mon - Fri covers up to 90 minutes

If you would like the piper to attend the service and play at another venue such as the graveside or the wake there is an added fee for the piper being available for up to 4 hours. Please confirm the length of time the piper is required at time of booking.

The inclusion of a bagpiper at a Funeral service can include all or some of the following:

  • Leading the Hearse for 100 metres to the church or chapel.

  • Playing for 15 minutes before the start of the service as mourners are arriving.
  • Playing the casket into the church or chapel. If the casket is in place, play the opening hymn for the Priest or Celebrant to walk into and commence the service.

  • Play during reflection.

  • Play as everyone departs the chapel or church.

Everyone has different ideas as to what will make their farewell for a loved one special and perfect. We are only too happy to discuss with you how a piper from Pipers of Distinction can assist in making your service a musically memorable.

Supplying great highland bagpipes and more for your funeral service.

As well as bagpipe players, we can also supply:

We can also provide a drummer or even a small pipe. Please contact us for our rates when hiring more than 4 performers.

We can also assist with the hire of a kilt outfit for those attending the service or those who maybe carrying the casket through a Highland Wedding Kilt Hire.

Specialising in the hire of traditional highland dress, we can help with advice and items of highland traditions during your special day such as using a quiach for a farewell toast. Or maybe with the purchase of matching tartan ties. A fitting tribute to the farewelled loved one, and a keep sake that will bring their memory to the fore every time the tie is worn after the service,

If you would like to honour your heritage and wear a kilt to a funeral or memorial service we recommend you visit a Highland Wedding Kilt Hire.
