I’m sorry I didn’t catch you on Monday after Mum’s funeral service to thank you. On behalf of our family I’d like to express our heart-felt gratitude for helping to give Mum such a grand send-off. I think she was watching and would have been very pleased with the pomp and ceremony of being piped to her final destination.

Pipers of Distinction played at my wedding this year. Barry in particular did a spectacular job. He was so personable and willing to make my day so special. He played the theme song to Brave Heart when I walked down the aisle and everyone commented that it was the best part of the wedding. Barry is very talented and his team is so friendly. Definitely make Barry your number one choice when considering pipes do your event.

I had Barry Gray perform for my 60th birthday. He added a great liveliness to my party and represented my ancestors country brilliantly.
I actually had a Latino party but mixed Scottish and Old Australian tunes to the afternoon to cover all aspects of my life. Barry even had us doing a Scottish jig.
Fabulous performer, fabulous party. Great memories for the future.

Pipers of Distinction have piped at the Memorial services of two of my beloved family members now, and I can say that the piping in of the casket has brought tears to eyes of family and friends due to the haunting beauty of the pipes and the expertise with which they were played. For anyone of a celtic background who wants to add pathos and depth to the farewell of a loved one, Pipers of Distinction won’t let you down.

Lachlan Wiggins performed at our Cuban Charity Function. What a delightful young man. I specifically asked for some up beat tunes being a Cuban gathering and he complied beautifully. He was patient, skillful and enchanted us with songs that gave us goose bumps.
Many thanks Lachlan.

We engaged the services of Pipers of Distinction for our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. Playing solo, as well as alongside our church organist, they added an extra dimension and emotion to our wedding, it was absolutely magical! In fact, many people have come back and told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Not only this, but Pipers of Distinction were also able to sort out kilt hire for many of our guests. This was invaluable, especially as many were travelling from Scotland. I am also pleased to report the kilts were of a very high quality. Happy to highly recommend Pipers of Distinction, as well as the owner Barry Gray’s amazing piping skills. Would engage them again in a heartbeat!

“I’ve always been told bagpiping is a dying art, but my experience says otherwise. There’s a vibrant, global community eager to learn and preserve this tradition – that is ever-changing, evolving, and adapting to today’s musical tastes.,”
